Mai enjoys utilizing both the solid technical background and the acquired business Knowledge to bridge the gap between the client's business need and the technicalities of software development. OpenCraft's core values coincide with her belief in the importance and the need to provide real value software. After graduation, she worked as a software developer for 4 years in Microtech (An Egyptian company specialized in ERP softwares) and assumed several responsibilities among which was Team Leading. Upon joining OpenCraft, she moved from software development to business and system analysis.

Mai Shalaby holds a BSc in Computer Science with a double minor in Economics and Electronics from the American University in Cairo. She has also completed coursework for the Computer Science Masters program and hopes to submit her thesis in this life.
